Science, AgriTech, Engineering and Mathematics are integral to our site, linked through agriculture, agritech and the environment, reflecting our school motto – “Science with Practice”. STEM subjects are a priority at Urrbrae our entire curriculum is based around these principles. We are a non-zoned school, which means that the pre-requisite for admission is a strong connection to our school foci. Our students have a sense of commitment to our school that starts when they first put in an application. We are a united community at Urrbrae with a common purpose, and this in turn creates a unique environment that allows our students to flourish. Our students are united in their respect for the land around them, whether they have tertiary, vocational or rural aspirations. Our focus is on agriculture, horticulture, agritech and the environment, and the fact that we are fortunate enough to have a 35 hectare working farm, along with a wetland area aimed at environmental sustainability, means that we give our students opportunities that they cannot get in any other metropolitan high school.
